My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“3 Nights in August” by Buzz Bissinger was a pleasant surprise, a fast read, great for baseball fans, and a must read for St. Louis Cardinal fans. It suffered from an overabundance of slippery metaphors, gushy prose, and the diversions into other baseball games that sometimes leaves the reader wondering about the season, the game and the score. But none of that may bother you and how often does any author pitch a perfect game?

Amazon Review — “You have something rare as a male writer, in my opinion. I usually avoid fiction with any romantic angles written by men, as they generally do not accurately capture a woman’s perspective and thoughts on relationships and emotions.”
